Born to be Down.

Ahh. Another day, another dollar I'm spending on gas and not getting much in return.

So tonight is open mic night at school. Before you start cheering, let me explain. As a requirement in Creative Writing, we are required to participate in at least one open mic this semester. Urgh. That's the sound of my bowels getting all queasied up for a live performance of ... something. I'm not sure.

Provided my mom gets out of jury duty on time this afternoon, I will be dropping Aidan off at her house so I can attend. (Notice I didn't promise participation. Yet.) I guess the best thing to do is to attend with an open mind, right? No sense in freaking myself out now, eight hours before it even starts. I'll just be like, "Yeah. I'll go check it out." Maybe I'll get up there and start throwing down some Eminem. Yep, vomit on my sweater already. Mom's spaghetti. Hmm. I'd probably have a hard time passing that off as original.

Ugh. Gotta run to class. Later!

Sort of Heartbroken.

Wow. It's been a while since I've blogged here which is surprising because I thought this was going to be the next-best-thing to blogging on MySpace. Cheese, I'm sure, but I can't help it. I like the way their blog is set up. It's quite user-friendly.

Anyway, my good buddy Darryl just sent me a link to another blog he thought I'd like (I DO), so I decided to pop in and see what I've been missing here with my own blog. Depressing. It's been five months or so and in that time, Pip died. Yeah. He actually only lived about ten days. The joke was on me, I guess, seeing as we went and purchased ten more day-old chicks when Pip was about two days old. We still have the majority of them. Eesh.

School has started for Aidan and I and it's in full-swing. I just wanted to throw a quick update on here but of course, one thing leads to another. I'm going to promise to attempt to throw something down here every day. I used to be so good at doing it but I'm definitely out of practice. It will be good and I'm looking forward to it.

Til tomorrow, then.
